peace of mind 2

Why Peace of Mind is my Ultimate Goal

Right now, there is a ton of chaos in the world. We have all kinds of uncertainty and pressure’s in our life. This is something that is certainly hard to debate. Also with our busy work lives, we must make the time for self care and calming our mind. We can take control of our inner world by creating some positive rituals.

QUICK STORY:

About three years ago in 2018, I was so focused in moving forward in my television editing career and working tirelessly, taking on as much work as possible, I finally reached a breaking point. The entertainment field is notorious for the long hours, and while post people just accept to do what they love, I felt exhausted and at this time I didn’t have an outlet of positive habits in place. This put me on my personal development journey. I was researching techniques to calm myself down, reading books on self growth, looking for ways to feel better in health, and actual be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I came across meditation, and it WAS TRULY LIFE CHANGING. At first it was really hard to even sit still for a few minutes, but like anything else, I stuck with it, and worked my way up to 30 minutes per day, my mind was calm, my breathing slowed down, I haven’t felt this good in YEARS.

FAST FORWARD TO 2021:

Fast forward to now, 2021, I have boiled down “PEACE OF MIND AS MY ULTIMATE GOAL.” Years ago, it would of been chasing success and stuff. All the times I have stressed out about everything, I noticed it manifested in headaches, low energy, and my mind would be invaded by negative thoughts.

The biggest goal right now should be our mental health. I believe focusing on our well being is number one. This is why I blog about meditation and calmness techniques.

I believe having peace of mind makes it easier to go after what you want in life. For me actually blogging has become an act of therapy because as I am learning things, I get it off my chest, it calms me, and I am treating it as part of my personal development.
